About Me

My name is Robert Pratka and I am currently a senior at Georgian Court University. At school I am a digital communications major where I learn how to process my thoughts and ideas clearly and intelligently. I have continued work in Logic Pro X to make music, IMovie and Final Cut Pro X to edit videos, and WordPress to blog. My time at GCU has been a bumpy road and one that has taught me many skills I hope to put to work after school. As of right now I have an internship with an assisted living facility where I make videos and help market the company on social media. It is not exactly what I want to do, but it is a step in the right direction.

Ultimately, I want to mix and edit videos using my own music I create. Music is a huge part of my life as I attend Electronic Dance Music festivals all over the world. Music gives me a feeling of euphoria that nothing else in the world can compare to. When I am able to put my own sounds into a video to provoke emotion, it will be worth all the struggle I have endured in my years as a student.

Outside of school and work I have just finished my fourth year of college soccer and my team this year was ranked seventeenth in the country. My coach Dino Raso has been like a father figure to me and provided me with much advise that helped me as a man and a player. Other than soccer and music, I play video games a lot. I normally play a game called Smite where you play as mythological gods and goddesses. I can almost name a god for everything in the world. I take great pride in not following under a certain stereotype, as I am a “nerd”, a “jock” and a “raver”. No one word can describe me besides passionate and that translates in my work, school, and other activities.
